I’m writing this in their comfy little lounge, with a carafe of excellent value house white and a view of the market town’s passers-by. Bliss.
Marrakesh does several jobs. In the morning, it’s full of ladies having proper coffee. By lunchtime, folks are having snacks and tapas. This is the only food I’ve tried here – simple, nicely presented but includes some frozen stuff – who can always do fresh seafood in Wymondham, after all? I find afternoons quiet, good for using their free wifi with a glass of vino.
Evenings are a proper Moroccan experience, it seems. The menu looks great but I haven’t tried it yet but hope to soon.
I don’t think most people would put the Marrakesh on top of their list of places to relax. But they should!

Enjoyed this restaurant. Small but with an attractive atmosphere and very helpful owner. Moved the table for us so we could be closer to the window. The food was delicious served under really pretty tagines. Not likely to come again soon as we live in Devon but would recommend it to other visitors. We paid £50 for two courses and drinks.JillandPeterG
The fact that this great intimate restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night says it all. Friendly staff, charming Moroccan decor and lovely food. Tasty Tagines amazing cheesecake finished with the typical peppermint tea in the Ali baba style teapot. Just as good as when we were in Marrakesh last year!Karen M
In the heart of Wymondham, Norfolk, this Morrocan restaurant provides just the right ambience for an authentic North African dining experience. The staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. The food is prepared and cooked by the Morrocan owner. The taste of Morrocco is captured in the tenderness of the meat, fruit and spiced sauces and the delictae couscous. Excellent Tagines, soups and Morrocan salads are on the menu. You won’t be disappointed
This won’t break the bank either. For 3 of us with all courses, including drinks and coffees it came to just over £90/-. We’ll be going there again. (There’s ample parking just down from the restaurant)
